For more than 80 years, the National Peanut Festival has celebrated the rich agricultural heritage of the Wiregrass while bringing together families, businesses, and visitors from across the Southeast. What began as a tribute to the peanut farmer has grown into Alabama's largest agricultural fair and one of the region's premier entertainment destinations. Each November, more than 200,000 guests visit the National Peanut Festival to experience nationally recognized entertainment, agricultural exhibits, championship livestock shows, educational programs, pageants, family attractions, carnival rides, great food, shopping, and cherished traditions that have been passed down through generations.
