About the event
What is the Run for Respect?
The Run for Respect is a fun run event supporting the awareness
and fundraising initiatives of the Carlton Football Clubs flagship
community program Carlton Respects.Established in 2016, Carlton Respects is one of the Carlton Football Club’s flagship community initiatives, promoting gender equality for the prevention of violence against women. With support from Our Watch, the initiative was developed in response to the alarming statistics around family and domestic violence in Australia. Carlton Respects consists of the Road to Respect schools program, Workplace Charter and AFL/AFLW/Run for Respect awareness-raising campaigns.
