Pure Knock Down Striking

Experience the ultimate close-quarters battle. This is Full-Contact Knock Down Karate—where grit meets tradition, fighters face off in a boxing ring. To encourage relentless, high-pressure fighting, we’ve eliminated head contact, allowing fighters to trade body shots, leg kicks, and sweeps at a blistering pace.

The Rules of Engagement

• The Goal: Win by 5-point margin, TKO, or 3 knock downs in a single round.

• Scoring: Points are earned through clean knock downs, tactical sweeps, and clinch-work throws.

• Duration: High-intensity rounds (2:00 for Adults; 1:30 for Youth/Teens).

• The "Knock Down Only" Division: A specialized bracket for those who want pure striking—no sweeps, no clinches, just power.

Fighter Gear Options (18+)

We offer three tiers of intensity to match your fighting style:

1. Traditional: Bare Knuckle & No Shin Guards.

2. Hybrid: Small Gloves (MMA/Karate) & Shin Guards.

3. Standard: Boxing Gloves & Shin Guards. (Full protective gear required for Youth and Teens).

Fair Matchmaking

Every fighter is guaranteed at least one match, expertly paired by weight, rank, and experience. Whether it’s a high-stakes Single Match or a Tournament Bracket, fighters compete for 1st through 4th place honors.

Promoter, Educator, & Martial Arts Visionary

Justin Hagen is a seasoned martial arts practitioner, dojo owner, K-8 school teacher and event promoter dedicated to the evolution of full-contact combat sports. With a journey in the martial arts spanning over three decades (since 1994), Justin has spent his career bridging the gap between ancient tradition and modern athletic excellence.

A Proven Track Record in Event Production

As an established promoter, Justin has successfully hosted nine premier martial arts challenges, building a reputation for high-integrity matchmaking and seamless event execution. His unique "Knock Down" event model is designed to provide athletes with the spotlight they deserve, utilizing professional 4K production and a high-engagement digital presence to elevate the sport for a new generation.

Academic & Professional Excellence

Justin’s approach to promotion is informed by a deep academic background:

• M.Ed. in Education (DeSales University): His graduate thesis focused on the intersection of martial arts and behavioral development, underscoring his commitment to the ethics and discipline of the arts.

• B.A. in History & Philosophy (University of Rhode Island): Specialized in East Asian studies and religious traditions, providing him with an authentic understanding of the "Way of the Warrior."

A respected voice in the community, Justin is a contributor to Black Belt Magazine and the author of several influential works, including Intent: The Path of the Warrior and Shodai-Soke. As the owner of his own dojo in Hatfield, PA, he teaches Kyokushin Karate, Taekwondo, and Kickboxing—training the very athletes who represent the future of the sport.
